A collaborative and comprehensive journal, the Wicazo Sa Review is indispensable to the study of multicultural literature. It provides an extensive critique of the literature, language, and world of Native American studies. While focusing on the Art and Literature of both the Indigenous people as well as the perspective of non-natives, the Wicazo Sa Review also provides an in-depth look at the social and political studies that are integral to the study of American Indians. Founded in 1985, this is a journal in support of Native American scholarship, providing a look into the Indian past and its relationship to today. It serves as a foundation for research into the genre of Native American literature as well as a good background to the topics that Native American Studies bring up in today's classroom.
