Dr. Julie Barmazel

Julie Barmazel received her M.A. in Renaissance English Literature from the University of London and her Ph.D. in English Literature from Princeton University. At CSUCI, she has taught British Literature I and II, Major American Authors, Renaissance Art and Literature, and Literary Theory. She is currently at work on a book-length study of modernism and inebriety entitled Fictions of Intoxication. Her other research interests include Sigmund Freud, Oscar Wilde, D. H. Lawrence, and John Milton.
